You're Really Good At Worshipping
"You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created." Revelation 4:11.
Not everyone is good at everything. Some folks are awesome cooks, others not so much. There are really good basketball players who may also be lousy at writing poetry. I know how to draw stick figures, chickens, and cats. I know that sounds like a strange combination, but it's true. Stop me some time and I'll prove it to you. I know people though who can draw practically anything. Some people should never post pictures on Facebook or Instagram. They lack the ability to discern which pictures are post worthy. Others are outstanding photographers. It's no big deal. We're all different and we're good at different things.
There's one thing we are all good at though, and that's worship. You may not be good at singing, and perhaps you can't clamp on tempo, but you're still good at worshipping. God created you for it. That's why you feel fulfilled after a time of praise and worship to God. You did one of the things God made you to do.
Most of us worship on Sundays, but be sure to worship during the week. Not only will God be glorified, but you'll also be edified. (That's a cool church word that means to be built up.). In fact, a great time to worship would be right now (John 4:23).
Following the Son,
James A Williams
