God Is Recording Our Conversations: And That's Good News

Ever whisper so someone doesn't hear what you're saying? Perhaps you've spelled something to your spouse so your children wouldn't understand? Sometimes we don't want others around to hear what we're saying.
We can do this with people, but God always hears what we say. If you're saying good things that's really good news. Check out what the prophet Malachi said happens when God listens in on us.
"Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name." Malachi 3:16-17.

Did you catch that?
*Those who fear God are talking to each other.
*God is listening in on the conversation.
*A scroll of remembrance is then written.

You get to make contributions to this book. You get to have conversations with others while God eavesdrops on your conversation and records the things you say in a book in Heaven. If you're a gossip and a slanderer that's kind of scary. If you're someone who encourages others as you speak positively then this is exciting.
The Bible speaks so much about the power of our tongues. None of us can go backwards, but all of us can begin writing a great story today by speaking life to others. I want to encourage you to make some great contributions to the book today. I can assure you that not only does God listen in on conversations, He also reads texts, emails, and social media posts. Use these opportunities to lift others up.
And won't it be fun to read what God wrote someday?

Following The Son,

James A Williams
